“The Bear” to Screen at the Carpathian Mountain International Film Festival
The feature-length documentary «The Bear», directed by Eugen Tunik @tunick and Valentyn Shpakov @producervalentyn, will be screened at the Carpathian Mountain International Film Festival @cmiff_ua.
The film follows young acting students who, displaced by the war to western Ukraine, struggle to complete their studies and pursue their creative dreams. As they prepare to stage a graduation play based on Chekhov, written and rehearsed before Russia’s full-scale invasion, they face a profound internal conflict: to perform or to give up?
The festival’s mountainous setting holds special significance, as the events depicted in the film unfolded in the Carpathians in 2022.
