SOFIA THE SPY

The TV series is based on the true adventures of the Greek super spy Sonia-Sofia Stefanidou.
Sofia the Spy tells the story of an extraordinary woman who trained as a paratrooper and operated
as a spy during WWII. This series presents a spellbinding account of an as-of-yet unexplored life
story of epic proportions featuring one of history’s forgotten heroines. Stefanidou’s adventures as a
spy take her from Odessa to Athens, and from Paris to Cairo, where she frequently faces mortal
danger yet manages to escape using her intellect and skill at spycraft. Along the way, Sofia has
affairs with both men and women but fails to meet her intellectual equal.
