OTHERWORLDS: MALANKA reimagines a Ukrainian winter ritual long suppressed by colonial rule and now further threatened by war. Working with tradition bearers, the project is a two-part XR work, a collective installation and a solo VR documentary fairytale, treating the rite as a living practice, and offering a model for how any community can keep its endangered rituals alive through rupture.
